I have acquired 2 x 60GB SSD drives Wink Wink*

What do you guys suggest I do with them?
I am thinking 1 x O/S and the other for Apps, certain games and Steam library if it will fit - can you split the Steam library?? EG: My main games/most played games on the SSD and the others on my WD.

OR

Are there any other options for it?

*love my job sometimes Wink

I wouldn't use games on it at all. It'll be buggered in no time with the amount it will be getting accessed.....some apps might even be a bit too much for it!

I've been running one of my laptops on an SSD for a fair bit now (must be over a year) and tbh I don't think there's much of a difference in the boot time.

It does mean that it's less likely to get corrupted if it's bumped around a bit though.

I suggest you give them to me innocent

You can't split games drives on Steam, it's one folder location. My Steam directory would require about a £500 SSD, so I don't actually have it on there (Raid for me).

Anyhoo... Err... It's pointless RAIDing a SSD (no trim support) at the moment. So I'd boot off one.

I did have Starcraft installed on my SSD, and did notice it loaded quite quickly. Maybe use one for Origin for BF3?

Or a second Steam install with just your preferred games on it... that might work?

Put Win7 on 1 and am running the other for apps and a few games (not even half full).

Holy shit!! The speed is incredible!!

From what I have read all I have changed in BIOS is setting AHCPI (iirc)?

I also flashed the BIOS which was a total disaster. Shitty MSI BIOS update has errors with 8gb of RAM or above using all 4 bays  mad.
Less said about that and the time wasted the better Wink
