I bought what was advertised as BF3 the Limited Edition from them. They sold me the standard meaning I have to pay another 12 quid for map pack I want.


I have sent them some support tickets and never got replied to.


Last night one came in. Forgive the state of my reply I was well on full of vodkas. But it gives the gist and I think they have shot themselves in the foot. Will be good to see the reply to this one.....


GG -   I actually replied to that ticket. The order was placed on 29th october while the game was released on 28th. The game was not a limited edition afterwards (even though you may have seen the formed limited edition banner, the pre-ordered games only get the limited editions since they were purchased prior to the release date.)

ME -  So by your own admission I clicked on an advertised Limited Edition  for purchase.

Thanks for admitting what I paid for was not what I got.
You have just agreed I agreed to buy a limited edition.

If the LE was out of date that's your problem as a vendor. You need to honour what you advertised.

If you as a company failed to take down the ' purchase limited edition' banner that's your fault and problem not mine.

...as any fool can see...you sold me a LE  by your own admission and gave me a standard edition.
that is not legal. You have to sell that which is advertised in the U.K.

Give me my map pack please as advertised and you have admitted to being advertised.

I would prefer this obvious over look on your behalf to be resolved by the simple giving of that which was sold andadvertised.

I don;t really care if the date was a day out...your website was still advertising a Limted edition and that is what I bought in good faith.

I do intend to forward this to correspondence to the OFT  and I do quote the following from their own website......


"If the trader doesn’t deliver the service you have agreed, you should first give them a chance to fix the problem for free. Tell them about the fault and use quotes  as evidence of what they agreed to provide."

I agreed to buy a Limited Edition. I am giving you fair chance to rectify your false advertisement before taking it further. As suggested under OFT guidelines.


YOU HAVE ADMITTED TO ADVERTISING THE LIMITED EDITION AND SELLING ME THE STANDARD EDITION!

Please provide me with the content I was misleadingly sold.   "even though you may have seen the formed limited edition banner"

It's not my fault you failed to take the advertised banner down.

Just reported my local BP garage for advertising diesel at £1.39 when at the pump it is £1.45 Guy I pulled about it said the sign was out of order

I've had a similar issue with diesel at Shell, but it turned out I'd bought V-Power diesel by mistake. 
(Tell you one thing though, the stuff works a treat. What a difference it made to top speed and acceleration  )

What did it say in your e-receipt Keasy, if it says LE on that as well you're shooty in.

I have to buy the map pack because I was so jet lagged I wasn't capable of leaving the house to get a Limited Edition =[

£52 of BF3 for me.

Though, I have played it for like 29 hours already... 75p an hour isn't too bad, and if I play it like I did Desert Combat, it won't matter all too much....

I bought the limited edition after there release date from Play so there statement about it only being available as a pre order is bullshit.

Your treatment towards customer sis pathetic. Could it be that you know
you're wrong and as such deliberately failing to reply ?

I bet you'd be whole lot quicker to answer if it regarded a potential sale.

For your information the LE is STILL for sale from Play, Amazon and various
other online retailers.

Well as I have already bought the map pack I suppose I'll take a refund then.
