Gave TDM a couple of goes tonight.
It's pretty much a half arsed version of the game.
TBH I'd prefer to play a CoD game and get the full flung version.

Horses for courses I guess. I really prefer it over conquest, I find helos a real chore at the moment and frankly ruin it for me.
Real shame, as thats what BF was about for me, but now I find TDM (or basically non vehicle modes) far more interesting
It's also really good XP if you're any good.... I've pretty much accidentally levelled three times in the last two evenings...
According to BF stats I'm in the top 5% in the world, skill rating wise :O

If you get someone manually tracking a helo with SOFLAM and you let loose with a javelin, mate, it's so satisfying.
Pop on game with me and I'll designate targets for you with the SOFLAM, providing you've opened up the javelin that is.

TDM for getting XP is the fecking win, I actually don't know why anyone tries to level via conquest. You get so many ribbons, it's hard not to get medals.. I'd never used a carbine before two days ago and I have 74 ribbons. In fact, I'm due a Engy Service Star, and three more medals in the next... three hours gameplay I reckon, and that should have me somewhere in my mid thirties. Bear in mind, on Sunday night I was level 25, and with two days of TDM I'm nearly 31... with an entire level nearly in the bag from service stars... and I've levelled the entire of Engineering in that time too... about 125k of the points... I'd just unlocked the SCAR, and now I'm just 2k off the last unlocks.
Actually... at the moment one of the larger problems I'm having on some of my more productive rampages is that I actually don't have the bullets to continue... I might start rolling support with UMP... that could be a winner.
I'm going to level my Recon via the UMP until I hit 50 PDW Ribbons, then onto the Shotguns and Handgun Ribbons... so I can get a decent sniper rifle, and do assault the same way.

Snipers end at mk11 mod 0 for me, man it's so feckin awesome I need no other recon rifle.
