On holiday now for two and a half weeks   

I'm having a small vodka from the two litres I was given from the teachers

I've got three more night shifts then off for ten days first time I've been off over Xmas in over twenty years

I'm back on call on Boxing Day (I think I'm the only one left working for our company in Scotland until the New Year).

Still mustn't grumble, some of the other engineers find out if they're getting laid off tomorrow...which is shit, but pretty common these days.
I've found you have to be thinking one job ahead now, since you're lucky if you can find one that'll last more than ten years.

Only a week off for me
Last day tomorrow and I have a few days between xmas and new year 

No doubt I will be bothered though, lately I am constantly on call it seems

I'm kinda bored already and it's only day one.

I've already tidied up bits of our scullery bunker from when I fitted the new cooker.
Tidied Ben's room.
Tidied Lewis's room.
Dusted and polished both their rooms.
Downloaded a DVD for my nephew.
Hoovered both the kids rooms.
Hoovered the stairs.
Tidied the back kitchen.


It's only 11AM.


 


Guess I'll ask the kids to play a board game or something but chances are slim as the standard run up to Christmas reply is....'but all our toys are old, we want to wait until Christmas for new toys'. Sigh!
Can't wait to play some of their new toys myself mind you 

I know.
I'm going to make two rolls on bacon. One with HP sauce with Guinness, one normal HP. Settle down on the couch and watch a good old Christmas flick.

I got the camera back from the shop this week and as it's so warm I'm planning a couple of camping trips away

Most people I know recon I'll be back in work by Boxing Day
