I suppose, with me being a Mac user, first day product release events at Apple stores could be viewed in the same light but just with more dignified queues.

I've never even heard of these trainers. Give me a good pair of slippers any day.

I think it's fair to assume they have a bit more appeal among some ethnic groups than others.  tongue2

I have never understood that about some people. There is not any single thing that I would ever stand in line for or risk harm to my self or any one else. I spent a part of my youth in a very violent place. I committed acts of violence towards others many times in stupidity and ignorance. Not for "things", but it's irrelevant why. What I learned out of it is that violence towards others for any reason has to be truly justified and that situations like that puts you in the path of others who don't think the same way and forces you to participate through self defense....for an inanimate object. Fortunately, there are many others who think like I do. Just not enough apparently.

If they'd released them a month ago...well in time for Christmas, there probably wouldn't have been the same rush, but just as many sales (if not more).
But if things turned out as well as their marketing team thought, then they've had a shed load of free publicity for some pretty poxy looking gutties.  Wink
