Iv installed TightVNC, but now everytime my missus goes on the laptop when the VNC service starts it dims the screen looking for my credentials. Iv tried allowing it to run as admin, and iv made it so the service logs on as me through the services snap in.

How do i get windows to let the VNC do what it wants without looking for my log in all the time?

Never used it mate. 

If it's her own account it might be looking for a config file in your docs, which it can't access.

Iv installed it through her account aswell, would that not create its own config file in her docs?

What happens when you turn UAC off?

I havent tried it, because i want to avoid that at all costs.

Iv set the task, but i havent got a chance to test it yet. ill let you knwo how i got on.

That didnt work either, it still asks for my password. if i turned off UAC would that mean herself could install what she liked or is it that you just wont get the popup prompting you to enter credentials? if simply disables the prompts wont the service still have a problem making changes?
I find it hard to believe that and administrator cant allow a program to run on any account without them having to enter there password all the time??

Got it sorted, the application was trying to run aswell as the service so i stopped the application starting at windows start and it stopped. Dont know why youd want the application running if its already running as a service 
Anywho, no more UAC pop ups.
