You have £30k. What would you plump for from the following?
a) An stupidly unpractical one that would act as a weekend car b) The beast that you couldn't afford to fill up d) The businessmans motor c) The family motor

Without a doubt or any hesitation I'd buy a Jaguar XF V6 3.0 Litre Diesel. (It'd have to be a year old, one previous owner job..but still... ) http://www.jaguar.com/gb/en/videos/xfr_launch_filmp.s. make sure it's the Sport model.

Hey, shut it squirrel sniper. The Optima is a lovely looking car and doubles as a business and family car, so there You don't even know which side of the road is the proper side to drive on for goodness sakes!

a) Ferrari 458 / Renaultsport Megane 265 Trophy b) Holden SS Crewman (5.4L V8, 4 Seater Ute. I refer to it as the LAN Wagon) / Mercedes SLS AMG c) BMW M5 d) Audi RS6
To be honest, I don't really understand the last two very well... I'm not responsible enough for either, and I like fast. What can I say.

Lol and all for 30k? Loving the mg and also like the look of the optima keasy. My company car is up for renewal and I want to keep below the radar so need to tone it down. I want an Audi A4 avant or an A6 saloon but although within budget it will draw too much attention. Thinking ford as an alternative but honestly have no idea.

Well, my main day to day car is a Mercedes C-Class Estate. Nice, comfortable, reliable and, when I'm in the mood, can be racey. Pardon the key-ring. I nicked it from Apple's UK HQ when I popped in to say "Hi" to a mate

I'd be asking for a cash alternative instead of a company car, that way you get a bit more freedom of choice and don't get fucked over by the tax man. Hire anything with the name 'Sport' in it and you get spitroasted by HMRC, but if you buy it yourself it isn't seen as a perk.

Nope, did calculations on a car allowance and once you factor in deposit, fuel, road tax, tyres, monthly cost and servicing it works out cheaper (for me anyway and the company) to do it as a company vehicle.

You can get a 265 Trophy for £28k, can only get the Crewman for £15k Second Hand (only import). You can get certain RS6 and M5, but they'd be SH too If I decide I don't want a house, or more appropriately, I'm continually priced out of the market, I'm probably going to get a Renaultsport Megane, tbh. It would have been a Scirocco R, but they were a bit too civilised for me, and a bit too £30k. You'd probably like a Scirocco R actually... fast, 265bhp... very quiet, not a lot of drama.. not a lot of room for people with legs in the back though, but you have minions and they don't have real sized legs. You personally probably wouldn't like the Cup/Trophy chassis Renaultsport Meganes, at least not with family in it. Racing suspension, but you can get the Megane 250 without it. Still 250bhp, and is £25k. Standard hatchback fare. Though, I suspect you probably may class yourself as not as... uncouth as me, and probably wouldn't buy a hot hatch now which instantly rules out the Megane, and half rules out the Scirocco since it's a hot coupe.
