Aye  Cool, I watched The Longest Day the other week with a hangover...total chill.  smile

p.s. I watched a documentary last year about Pegasus Bridge and the film got it pretty much spot on.
There was an old veteran talking about it's capture and it really was pillar to pillar fighting.
Also the bloke who played Major Howard ("hold until relieved, hold until relieved") was actually there.  Cool

(I tried to watch Chitty Chitty Death Bang the other week and recapture some childhood Christmas memories, but I only got as far as the Truly Scrumptious song.....so about ten minutes it lasted  tongue2)

I watched Tora! today, couldn't stop laughing at the bit where the plane which was attacking Pearl Harbor and one of the Admiral (I think it is) said "Get the number of that plane, I want to report it for safety violation", the next scene saw the plane drop a bomb on the airplane...and their faces  laugh

No Zulu, but it's still working out a treat.

ITV4 is running some old John Mills movies, so it's Morning Departure (old sub hits a mine) then Dunkirk, and I wouldn't be surprised if Ice Cold in Alex isn't in the queue either.
It's a bit basic, but they're the right movies at the right time for chillaxing.  smile

-edit- Shit, the end is a bit hardcore.  blink
-edit-edit- Dunkirk starts with a 'based on real life events and footage which some viewers may find distressing' warning.  blink Hardcore II by the look of it (I know the ending though happy)

OMG.
My folks took me to see that in Darwin's only cinema at the time, a building without a roof, a big screen and all these canvas chairs for the punters. I remember getting smacked in the head by this huge cockroach (they are fucking huge in the tropics) it flew in through the projector light and alighted on my face, my dad grabbed it and introduced it to his boot heal to much applause by fellow appreciaters of the fine art of cinema.
