OMG I'm in disbelief now...

the same program has just had Harry hill on and showed a clip of him at the Edinburgh Festival and basically was saying an award was created in his honour.

no wonder with classics like this...

Harry Hill talking to a live audience at a venue in Edinburgh..."Girls and gals, remember when they first let calculators into the maths exams ?"    laugh

Jerry was famously lamped by a member of the audience in Canada after opening the set with "Hello, Moose-Fuckers!", quickly followed by "I'll tell you why I hate Canada, half of you speak French, and the other half let them!"

That's a really strange statement.  I guess we just the don't have the separation of denominations here that you have there.  I think Catholics & Protestants visit the same shops here.

I know it's a joke.  It just doesn't translate to this country.  Another weird thing is the nun asking for money.  They don't do that here, at least not that I've ever seen.  The only place I've ever seen a nun was at the grocery store.  Don't get me wrong, in my neighborhood I can think of 3 Catholic churches and about 4 Protestant churches & one Buddhist Temple, it's just that in any given store I couldn't place the patrons to any one particular faith.  Why would Protestants use that particular store and Catholics wouldn't?  Just curious...

The Rangers Superstore sells merchandise for Glasgow Rangers football club, a team predominantly supported by Protestants.
Ergo: Anyone visiting the shop is probably going to be a Protestant  tongue2

She'd get on far better standing outside the Celtic Shop, which sell merchandise for Rangers' great rivals Glasgow Celtic.
A team predominantly supported by Roman Catholics.  Wink

It'd be in the same vein as a Rabbi collecting money standing outside a Mosque.. razz

Tbh she'd probably still collect a fair amount of cash regardless of where she's standing, but it's just very ironic that she chose that spot.  laugh

The easiest way to spot a Baptist church here is to check the church parking lot at 5 minutes to noon. The Baptist's like to let out a few minutes early so they can beat the Presbitarians to Luby's(buffet style restaurant). laugh
