Most of my mates don't ever bother to discuss politics or the sort. We just do not care. Our input is largely irrelevant, and it is something that will get worse at the poulation ages and influence sticking with baby boomers.
Sorry to say young fella but as you grow older you will find that news about politics and 'irrelevant' shit will become more relevant to you daily. I hope to know you in ten or so years so we can compare your statement to how you feel now. Sad but true fact is that you will become more engrossed in the mechanisms and workings of policy that affects your every day life. You mellow and have time to reflect. Then when you have had time to reflect you will see how EVERYONE THAT DISAGREES WITH YOU MUST BE KILLED AT ONCE!!!

There aren't as many younger people, and the population is ageing... and as you say, everyone gets more interested in it as they get older. So apathetic younger people have to vote against highly motivated older people that outnumber them.
Technically I should be around the age where politics has started to matter, but it hasn't. They are all equally as useless as each other, just in different ways. It's why I don't vote.
