The only way to stop smoking is to just stop. Everything available, patches, diets, psyologists, God, threat of death, expense are all rubbish.
You need to make a sober choice on the spot. Just stop. That is all.
The first two weeks are the hardest. Your mind is telling you to smoke and you cannot work out what the fuck to do with your idle fingers. Go have a wank. Work out new ways of tieing your shoes, but dont go buy a packet of death.

Smoking? Boozing?

The 'powers-to-be' have been very successful in steering the general population away from harmful smoking and drinking.

They have done this by raising taxes on tobacco and alcohol to such a point where users are finding it hard to function. What I mean is that drinkers and smokers are spending a large proportion of the family income on their habits.

It is very successful strategy by governments and has raised a lot of tax income which goes towards health and education for the general public.
Now that people drink and smoke less where are the governments going to get this lost revenue?

Enter the anti sugar lobby.

Yes folks, a new tax is being formulated for your own good.

Aye, heard about that earlier.

There isn't much we don't get taxed on these days and it'd probably a shorter list if we concentrated on only things that aren't taxed.  confused
Here is a comprehensive list:
