Put a deposit down today for a smaller unit not far away.
It's in a small shopping 'galeria' and right next to a chocolate store that makes it's own chocolate Wink.
So Adri and I will no longer be working together, but we know that's no bad thing.
The rent is much cheaper, it's cycling distance and the suburb is bustling with people.
Should be in by March 1st, with little or no interruption of business....hopefully.

Only the shop Wooster. We moved house recently, yes.
I think I mentioned this in another thread about closing the shop.
At least it means NOT working from home and a change of scenery to boot. :0

Signing the rental agreement tomorrow for the new shop and will then get the keys, starting afresh.
Lick of paint, a good clean out and then fix up the place so it looks like a proper PC shop.
Cable internet arriving Monday and all I need now is a kettle!

Moving in to the shop over the weekend and anxious not lose any business in the transition.
I'll take a few before and after pics, just for a laugh.

Stripped out the old shop last weekend and shoe horned it all in Sat and Sunday. Just piled everything in the car and roof over several trips, job done.
Back breaking and hot though.
Finally got online today which was a laugh.
The blokes turned up and asked if I had a ladder.
I asked if they had one, but they had lent it to another team.
They then said they'd have to come back next week. I'd been waiting patiently since Monday.
I said no, lets find a ladder, which I did.
It was a late Friday afternoon, hot and I think they had had enough for the day. I hadn't and even offered to help fit the 50m of cable.
Young lad threw a tantrum and started to throw modems and cables out of the van, which I ignored. His boss, wearing shades just sat in the van smoking. I had to smirk.
I helped them route the cable just to make sure they didn't do a runner and the boss finally decided to earn his wage by walking around a little and playing with his phone.
We finished after a couple of hours, during which the young lad said not a word, but scowled a lot.
When you have these buggers on your doorstep, you can't let them go.
Anyway I've now got 6 Mb cable internet.
I thought it rather odd that the first page the lad  went to after configuring the modem was a Youtube video of someone handling a very sophisticated sub machine gun.

It's in a small 'galeria' or shopping mall.
I'm next to a chocolate shop and a chiropractor. Above are a few massage salons, a classy wine shop and various other diverse little shops.

Just scrubbed the decks.

The usual chaos

Getting there at last.
Sold a PC last week and replaced a drive in a laptop.
Don't mind being on my own at all.

Looking good mate.  Cool

Would a monitor in the front window looping some HD game videos, Tech Demos etc. catch the eye and attract in more punteros?  scratchhead

Excellent idea mate!
Nvidia Nalu is a good loop.
Tuesday I'm having the signs put up so that people can see me getting off the trains. It's a good spot being next to a railway station, plenty of passing traffic.
The only drawback is that I'm eating too many hotdogs. Just love em!

Good luck splint.

I'd love to find some cash and open my own shop.

But alas, I'm skint and always will be by the looks of things.

I'm skint too Keasy mate.
I had to sell stuff to get the deposit for the rent.
But it can be done.
In many ways, relatively speaking the rents here are cheap and we don't have the swinging council tax that you pay over there. That's a killer.
I certainly don't think I could do this in the UK as the overheads would be crippling, especially a high street shop. I may be wrong, not sure.
Just to give you an idea (not suggesting you move over here lol)
15M2
Rent $1100
Local charge, cleaning etc $50
Council tax $60
Internet 6mb $100
In all about $1400 per month. Pesos by the way, which equates to around £200 per month.
But of course salaries are much lower here, so those figures have to be taken with that in respect.

So in relative terms it's an average monthly working income what you are paying ?
